Wellness Rituals
Our Wellness Rituals offer a complimentary adjunct not only our other therapeutic services, but also to your everyday life. Choose from Thai Massage or Yin Yoga, or add them both to supplement your journey of physical healing and mindful balance.
Traditional Thai Massage has spiritual roots, with the purpose of healing a person on physical, emotional and spiritual levels. Thai Massage uses gentle, rhythmic pressure and passive stretching to relieve muscle and joint tension, increase flexibility and mobility, and balance the body’s energy systems. Traditional, steamed herbal packs may be used for relaxation, with the heat and herbs offering a deeper impact on the body. The massage takes place on a mat on the floor, and it is recommended to wear comfortable clothing that you can move in, such as gym shorts, sweats or yoga pants, and a T-shirt or tank top during your Thai Massage session. The therapist will utilize their whole body- from their hands, forearms, elbows and even feet and knees- to move your body into various positions during the massage to gently bring mobility to stuck joints and more ease of movement to tight muscles. You will leave feeling deeply relaxed and calmer in your body.
Yin Yoga is a restorative practice with focus on stretching connective tissue and easing tension in the spine, low back and hips. This slow and gentle style aids in releasing mind-body tension and bringing the nervous system into a state of healing. No experience is required and you will leave feeling rejuvenated and serene. With class sizes of no more than four, you'll receive individualized instruction with personalized adjustments. This Yin Yoga class is perfect for all skill levels, so join us solo or bring along some friends. However, due to the limited class size, reservations are required. Feel free to bring your own equipment or come as you are and borrow ours. Every Sunday and Thursday at noon.
